Lightfoot were delighted to be able to provide a team for the Saltford Golf Club Captains (David Diamond) Charity Day in June. This was for a very worthy cause, supporting 6-year-old Jack Anderson-Jones who suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Cornelia De Lange Syndrome. Jack has a range of difficulties and all funds raised throughout the year will help contribute to the building of a wet-room at his home to assist his parents to better support some aspects of his condition.
The course was in excellent condition, with a fabulous turn out of 140 players (35 teams). The Lightfoot Defence team of Terry Nicholls, Paul Hopkins, Harry Brown and Laurence Guest acquitted themselves very well, ending up as the runners up in the competition. Losing out to the winners by just 2 points. It was an excellent day with superb hosting by Saltford Golf Club and David Diamond, with all proceeds raised going to support Jack.
