“I wanted to write to thank you for the outstanding assistance we received from your company…Your engineer provided quite exceptional help….without your engineer’s expertise and sheer hard work we would not be in the fortunate position to continue our operations”
As Lightfoot Defence Limited forms part of the Refrigeration and Air conditioning industry within the United Kingdom, Directors and Managers ensure the highest priorities are given to the Environmental Aspects of the business and filter down to staff the importance of adhering to best environmental practices and all of our engineers are trained in the use and safe handling of refrigerant gases.
LDL hold a Permit (EPR/JB3103CD) from the Environment Agency for the storing and processing of refrigerants back to their Virgin specification. This prevents the harmful Global Warming Potential from some refrigerants being released and we have received awards for the ability for some of our customers to lower their carbon footprints by us processing their waste.
We recognise we have a duty of care to both customers and to the general public to manage our waste facility and particularly the hazardous waste refrigerants within and around our facility safely and without causing any unnecessary pollution to the environment or harm to human health.
The Permit provides an added environmental monitoring advantage to the business by ensuring a representative of the company is competent and qualified to manage hazardous waste operations on site.
We are committed to the development of refrigeration systems which are increasingly compatible with the aims of sustainable development and environmental care without compromising the value for money the services it provides to its customers.
